Nicole Friederichs
Nicole Friederichs is an attorney specializing in federal Indian law, indigenous peoples rights and international human rights law. She is currently a Practitioner-in-Residence at Suffolk University Law School, developing an Indian law and indigenous peoples rights clinic. She worked on creating a monitoring framework for the implementation of the U.N. Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, has been part of on-going efforts of the Western Shoshone Nation and Maya peoples of Belize to protect their indigenous lands and natural resources, and has worked on several jurisdictional cases between Native American tribes and New England states.
